Participants will make one round trip to the water. 4 Miles round trip
8:00-9:00 a.m. Registration
Event will start promptly at 9am
9:00-9:10 a.m. Opening Ceremonies
9:10 a.m. Trip to the water. Walk two miles to a stream, fill containers, walk two miles back while carrying 0 to 70 pounds of water. All are welcome to walk, with or without carrying water.
Upon return refreshments and snacks and an opportunity to stay or become more involved
8am to Noon: Opportunity to sponsor a child, 50/50 Raffle, Silent Auction (Silent Auction closes at 11:50am)

What is the cost to register/participate?
Nothing! There is no registration fee. We encourage you to donate, raise funds, and invite others. We also encourage you to register in advance on this website, but you can also register on site the day of the event.
How much water do I need to carry?
It is 100% up to you. Many women in Africa carry 70 pounds (8.5 gallons), but the amount you carry is your decision. All are welcome to walk, with or without carrying water.
Will buckets be provided?
Can I bring my children?
Yes! Families are encouraged to participate together. There are no age limits.
Can I bring a wagon or stroller?
Yes! But please no bicycles or motorized vehicles.
